Flashback to July 2007

Sunset Trolling
Thinking about warmer weather. This has been a long winter; my patience has been worn thin. One month from now will be our fishing season opener. I am anxious. Anxious to get my boat out from the long 6 months of storage. Anxious to troll the reefs of Big Bay. Anxious for the warmth of the evening sunset heading home.

  4. Oh, this is gorgeous...the lighting is perfect and it makes you feel like you're right there on the boat. I don't do well on boats, so I thank you for this vicarious experience!

  5. Not fair to tease us with such beautiful pictures like this! We are still weeks away from this sort of weather and activity. The picture is gorgeous and touches my heart!

  6. It sure seems crazy that we're only a month away from such weather, but its true. I, too, have felt that we've had to almost fight for every degree of warmth! Now the last few days are back to grey...not many photo ops around. I like this picture today, because it does feel warm just looking at it. You have a night shot theme going on this week!

    What lake is it?

On the plus side, it is at least staying light outside til 8 p.m. and later :) Hang in there...

  7. Boo, Winter! My mother just returned for a visit from Maine. See says those folks, who are usually pretty resilient when it comes to winter, are worn out, too. As one Mainer told her, this winter "was raw." I imagine it's been the same for Minnesotans.

Sending lots and lots of Spring vibes your way...

  8. Where is my head this morning?! My grammar sucks. That should say, "My mother just returned from a visit to Maine. She says..." Good Lord, I'm having preposition and pronoun dyslexia. Sorry 'bout that!

  15. I certainly can identify with your impatience with winter. I'm beginning to wonder if we will just skip spring altogether and go to summer about July 4th. Lovely photo! A real breath taker away.
