The Last Rose

Last Rose

The last glimpse of the summer rose.
It's all but over as the cold wind blows.
Hope is drained to renew the sight.
Perpetual darkness looms in colorless light.

Two Things Challenge - Bent / Straight

Uniform Grazing
These cows lined up straight with heads bent down to gain access to the luscious grass on the other side of the straight line electric fence. Proof that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence.

Orangerie - A Study in Abstract Leaves

No, this is not the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris. A museum which I will suggest as a must see when visiting Paris. Many fine works of art are inside plus Claude Monet's Les Nympheas, (see link below).
Mrs. DL and I were on our typical weekend walk to the 'Bou for our morning coffee. Of all places, these photos were taken on the paved trail behind Super Target. We used the macro feature to get up close and tight to the subject with her Canon A710 IS point and shoot camera.
I enjoyed these orange color tones that caught my eye, reminding me of the museum we enjoyed showcasing impressionistic that we visited while in Paris last April. Again, these images can not compare with the real works of art in the museum. For some reason Orangerie popped into my head.

Cow! 'Nother Cow!

"Actually I think that was the same one".
"I gotta go Julia, we got cows".

At my cousin's 20 acre farm in the far north metro.
Here's looking at you kid.

Triplets
The grass really is greener on the other side of the fence!

Would you look at that biped taking our picture.

Simple quiz, the post title and top two lines are a quote from a movie. Can you name this movie?
In the past, I add movie quote, song titles or lyrics in my posts. For a fun prizeless competition, try and find these quotes. Yes I am easily amused.

These 3 photos were taken with our little Canon A710 IS point and shoot camera.
