Marjorie McNeely Conservatory

Como Zoo and Conservatory
Yesterday morning, Mrs. DL, my sister, niece and myself, met up with our fellow Twin Cities photo-bloggers, Team Just Roaming the Cities , snapshutter , Mitchster , St. Paul Photos for a morning of photography fun in the McNeely Conservatory in St. Paul, MN. A pleasant morning to spend indoors in warm humid weather to take photos of tropical plants. A nice way to spend a winter morning.

  5. My son lives in Hampton, MN (southeast of the city) and he took us to this beautiful place last fall. It is gorgeous...I love the lines of the building as much as my husband loved the plants inside. What a striking landmark!

  6. Good shot of a wonderful facility. I go there a lot, esp. when the winter is getting me down. The seasonal flower shows are spectacular. I've posted a number of shots, statues, buildings, people who are visiting the conservatory on my blog. Hope you have seen them and enjoyed them, too.

  9. I like that, "team" Just Roaming, haha. I had alot of fun going there mostly for the company, and then the humidity which my body is dying for, and then the floral stuff. The sunken room was rediculous, though. Too many people shooting for calanders...as soon as the weather warms let's go to the zoo there and shoot!!
I'll post some shots from the conservitory tomorrow. Had to show everyone the amazing sculpture I found in a yard first.
