Snap E Tom

This big snapping turtle was walking along side of the paved bicycle trail.

When the photograph was loading itself, I thought it's a tree! Then appeared a frog looking out from the tree-hole. But then, looking at the creature's distinct nose, I felt it's a turtle. Then the full photograph got loaded, and I couldn't believe how beautiful this turtle photograph is! Just look at the algae on its shell!! Marvelous!!!

We MUST save these species. You may wish to see this… Height of Cruelty

By the way, I have no idea what Snap E Tom Tomato and Chile Cocktail is, being in India.

Specks of grass on the turtle's back? As if someone had mowed a lawn next it.
Superb!

Great macro shot! I don't think I've ever looked a turtle in the eyes before.

He's impressive. Be careful though they can be surprisingly fast!

I had the same impression as Bhavesh , nice to meet turtles when riding your bike !

He looks like he's just relaxin', taking it all in. I wouldn't put my finger too close though. Very nice shot.

And you snapped his picture. That's a turn-about! Hope you used a long lens. Super shot, DL!

HOLY SMOKES !!!!

So by the grass I can tell he's decent sized but he looks huge in the picture. Beautiful yes..... but at a distance for sure. I came across one of these bad boys canoeing the crow wing river years ago and you sure don't want to be in the water when one goes swimming by.

Awesome shot !!!

I think I like the green grass the best in this photo--offsetting the snapper. Nice!
Sorry I haven't commented but I always get stuck on your site and my computer freezes up. Hopefully thats not happening anymore!
Have a great week!
