Utility Graffiti

I can appreciate the talent behind taggers when they apply their paints and cover our urban areas with graffiti. But I detest the tagging of our public buildings and infrastructure. This urban tagging is a big problem.

From time to time, our utility companies need to make repairs to underground equipment. To aide their work, they must mark the cities curbing as seen here. As we can see, this is quite ugly, unsightly, and a blemish on our suburban streets. This is poor tagging skills. Utility workers have no business marking our urban curbs.

But this type of tagging is necessary. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? You're correct. We should create new jobs for our urban tagging graffiti artist youth; employ them as Utility curb taggers. Just imagine the colors, designs and art to depict "GAS SRV 28/29" and how much better it would look by a graffiti tagger.

  2. problème dans toutes les villes, on devrait mettre en place des fermes à tag pour que les jeunes artistes puissent montrer leurs œuvres, plus-tôt que de faire cela n'importe où.
problem in all cities, they should set up farms with graffiti so that the young artists can show their writings, more - early than to make it anywhere.

  5. The city could develop a whole new department with lots of "managers" (highly paid people that stand around and watch the taggers they just hired) You're a genius!

  6. I like your idea! This happens here all the time - normally around pot holes in the roads. Lots of arrows and lines and scrawled words.

  8. I do not see that much of this utility tagging over here in Saarbrücken, but I do see forestry tagging in the woods — trees marked in gaudy colours. You could employ the kids to do this, I guess, but they are already busy adding a bit of colour to all the grey concrete in town.

  9. You knew I'd show up and rant. I HATE the taggers with the spray cans. Period! It is urban LITTER. There's nothing artistic about gang crap. You put it on someone else's private property and it's vandalism, not art. It's all over Birmingham and all over Paris. Here in Paris there are companies that specilize in cleaning it off! Think of the money involved to remove it! I feel better now! Merci
