Fallen Umbrella

This unclaimed umbrella can be found in the old elevator in Minneapolis. I think it may be usable for just one more rainstorm.

I'm thinking that umbrella has been inside out one too many times. I like the rust down in front here.

I think the insects and rodents will make use of it.

I don't know...... I think one more use might be a bit optimistic...

Must have been placed here to be immortalized on a picture!

IS there anything worse than an unbrella that won't perform? I've wanted to sling one down and walk off myself!

There's something about your photos that I've failed to mention before... the sense of texture. Along with the beautiful compositions, contrasts, and points-of-view, many times I experience a tactile dimension in your art. It came through for me in this photo, in your "Fallout", and especially in your railroad photos.
I don't very often perceive texture as a photographer's signature.

I think you must have been having an optimistic day - I wouldn't fancy holding this up in a rainstorm! Great spot though.
