Deer Hunting

Bicycling Pair

"Shouldn't we be wearing blaze orange?" the woman says to me as they pass by.  I reply, "Don't worry I won't shoot you."   Well, I did, photographically speaking.

I went deer hunting with my camera at Coon Rapids Park Reserve.  I saw a nice 10 point buck, but he wanted nothing to do with me.  The doe's on the other hand seemed more sociable and wanted to pose for me.  Isn't that the way it typically is?

  1. Hi Rob,
Thanks for hunting the deer with your camera not gun! I will follow your nice blog...

  2. waouh la photo de la biche est tout simplement magnifique...

  3. Looks like the last pleasant bike ride of the season; it's getting colder!! Yes, females certainly are more sociable!!

  4. I think after today.... it might be a while before we see bikes in the park again.

  5. Nice photo safari! Were YOU wearing blaze orange? Does like to pose!

  6. I like the way you hunt! But you shot that poor girl and her companion in the back... how cowardly ;)
Nice shot of the doe... B E A Utiful

  7. Maybe not what you really wanted but still agreat photo. She is looking right at you!

  8. Oh DL,
That Doe's in lurv with you !!!
If you'd taken my fanny from that angle I'd have been on the horn with Bob Crowe and chatting about a pending lawsuit!!! :)

PS My header if for Mrs. DL of course. I'm thirlled she liked it.

  9. What can I add; this is just beautiful!

  10. I wonder how that deer knows that it's in a park reserve?

  11. I love, love, love deer. Lovely shot!
I must dig out my photos of Daisy the Kudu who thought she was a horse (as she had been hand reared on a farm) and she would eat out of your hand and even let you touch her head if you were fast.
