  4. I like the closeup - so abstract. Yes, campfires are fun - more fun if you are upwind of the smoke!

  5. Oh my goodness. I am surely impressed by this photo. I know how hard it is to truly capture the glowing embers and the lines in the wood made by fire--and you have done it here. Really, really good job. I am impressed! It feels like heat just looking at this photo.
Maybe you should make an 8x10 for the upcoming winter months for when its really cold it'll warm you up!

  7. Campfires are great for storytelling, guitar playing, joke telling and just watching the fire and wood crack and split. I admit I like the left over smokey smell that permeates your clothes and reminds you where you've just been.

Beautiful image, textural, colorful and full of intricate depth.

To answer your question left on my post. I have a Fine Arts Degree and have had brief internships teaching art to young children. I enjoy teaching, but don't do it as a profession now. I enjoy encouraging and teaching friends to be creative and would enjoy working in the field of Art Therapy.

I grew up with artist parents in the 60's.

You already possess an artist's eye as a photographer and you sculpt, then I'm sure you could paint with some training in the medium.

Thank you for sharing. I'm glad the image evoked this sweet memory.
