It is that time of year again when Mrs. DL and I spend hours in the kitchen baking for the holidays. Her specialty are the cookies for Christmas while I enjoy simply baking artisan breads. My favorite is my version of Panettone and my Grandmother's cardamom bread.

Oh yum...those look mighty pretty...and I bet they taste wonderful too! Never saw wreath cookies before. My mom stuck with cut out trees, stars, and reindeer.

Fantastic looking cookies and I bet they taste just as good. Unfortunately, I spend waaaay toooo much time eating these things from Thanksgiving through the end of the year.

Midwesterners were born with a baking gene that I did not get down here. My grandchildren think Slice and Bake with gobs of sprinkles and sugar are "homemade" at Mumsie's. Don't let the secret out of the bag! I want two dozen of those brickles ones please.

What talent! A beautiful array of cookies and super photographs! I've never been much of a baker and my cookies are usually a disaster so I quit long ago. Care to share some fail-safe recipes ;o) !!
