An early morning stroll through the prairie fields in Elm Creek Park Reserve. The colors are muted in a sea of beige. Virtually colorless until the spring rains.

deux belles photos, mais je préfère la deuxieme, beau contrasme entre le blé et le ciel
ReplyDeletetwo beautiful photos, but I prefer the second, beautiful contrasme between wheat and the sky
What a contrast between the two. Even without the blue sky which is stunning the top shot has very tactile textures. The beginning of Gladiator where Crowe runs his hand through the filed comes straight to mind.
ReplyDeleteWell, Babooshka is thinking of Gladiator, I'm thinking my childhood watching Little House... ;-)) To me these two beautiful shots are evocative of the American Midwest and West, I love them and now I want to know more about Elm Creek Park Reserve!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hue!
ReplyDeleteEverything ought to green up today from our rain yesterday!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous even without color. Nice captures DL. You'll have spring up there at the North Pole one of these months.

Stunning images. The blue contrast perfect with the straws.
ReplyDeleteSuch a brilliant blue sky, makes a great contrast behind the wheat. Very nice!
ReplyDeletePS.....don't forget to go back to the 2 Thing Link and leave a comment that you are in! ; )
ReplyDeletethis is great. contrast against blue is great ... but my choice is the top one, tan on tan is fantastic.

Colorless, yes... but made niftier by the camera's eye! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rob... Love the subtle color and texture of the grasses, and the contrast with the brilliant blue. I can feel the experience just by seeing. Dave
