Two Things Challenge - Shadows / Patterns

Canoes under a blanket of snow at Lake Calhoun, Minneapolis.
This week's challenge is shadows and patterns. Fresh snow makes for an interesting contrast.

Very nice! I'm glad you reminded me to do this today. I completely forgot and have some good ones (I think).

never in a million years would I have figured out what this is. But that doesn't matter. An excellent shot. Snow is VERY hard to capture..well done!

Love this photo! Took me a minute to figure out what it was, but the lines and shadows are superb. Definitely wall-worthy!

This is my first visit to your blog and I must say, I am quite impressed with your photography. Your photos are clear, colorful and sharp! Not to mention, interesting. I must come visit again when time allows me to, and surf around more for tell tail info as to what camera you use.
Also, I am sorta new to this whole photography blog thingy, could you please tell me about the weekly challenge.
