Ready to Ride

High Anxiety
I am anxious. Anxious for warmer weather. Anxious for my first springtime ride of the season without the blasted snow and ice. Yes, many people do ride their bikes throughout winter. Not me, though. I'm a bit wiser in my older age, now. And it hurts more when falling. Maybe in in the next couple of weeks I shall ride. Ride like the wind, free and clear, wind billowing through whats left of my hair!

  1. I hope you get some riding weather real soon. I remember living in cold places how the sidewalks looked exactly like this when the snow started to melt.

  2. Such a nice set of reds in your last pictures!
Here the bikes stay inside from mid-June till mid-September so now is the best time of the year to ride them.
You have to be very wise too for riding a bike with a camera over the shoulder...

  5. I agree with you. It is too easy to slip-slide away on a bike. This one looks a lot like a bike I had when a kid! Nice photo!

  8. So todays not too bad...but its clouding up fast! I had a goal to go walking but not sure if I'm gonna get there before it rains or something...sigh. Minneasota sucks these days.
Viva Las Vegas! haha. It was so weird, though, to see a few people jogging on the strip. They looked so out of place with the other tourists. Who jogs on vacation? I got enough walking to kill the average person in that place I swear.

  11. Love this photo and the cold feeling I get when viewing it ( from my warm house ) and your comments cracked me up! "many people ride their bikes throughout winter, not me, though!...hurts more when falling/ wind billowing through what is left of my hair" too funny....I love it! Methinks there is a poet in you.
