Rusty Crap

Number 19
Last week, Mitch and I wandered around the Father Hennepin Bluffs Park area in Minneapolis. What a delight to find these treasures. Or, as I like to call them, "rusty crap". I was on a mission to find items to fit this bill and was not disappointed.

The weakest link
I do not quite understand this chain. Such heavy links, yet a weak link connector. I wonder what happened in the chain forging facility. Was this made late on a Friday or early on a Monday? Check Mitchster's post for his version of rusty crap, it's beautiful.
"You are the weakest link, goodbye". Does anyone remember the game show where this quote was made famous?
First one to guess gets the virtual rusty crap award.

  1. great photos and I have often picked up rusty crap to keep or hang on a wall or do something with. I find these metal pieces interesting because of their strength but then weakness with rust. they generally have travelled a long ways to get rusty so each has a story.

  3. superbe, on peut toucher la rouille. Je sais pas comment tu fais (beaucoup de jeux sur la netteté je pense) mais cela rend vraiment très bien
haughtiness, they can touch the rust. I know not how you make (a lot of games on neatness I think) but it is really very well

  10. That show "The Weakest Link" was so good. I wish it was still current. That stone-faced lady was funny! Nice rusty shot. I find it amazing in photography. THe dirtier and grittier the subject, sometimes the cooler the shot turns out. Like a beautiful couple against a filthy old wall always turns out so nice.

  16. Good old Anne Robinson and the Weakest Link! It is on everyday here and has been for years. The best ones are the 'Z' list "celebrity" specials. She just rips them apart! Lol!

I like your rusty crap :)

  17. Dusty Lens, Rusty Crap - Clever. I have always been quite smug about the fact that I was commenting in your images when you were a hidden gem. If you haven't already you might want to try enetering a few competitions and maybe tendering images for sale. You get better each week. Outsandig image.
