It took me a moment, but, because of my incredible sense of spatial artifacts, I quickly concluded these were prisoners serving their time in the Minnesota snows. Several hours later I figured out they were upside down boats.

I think.

I was also impressed with the quality of the photographer's work.

Very nice. I really like these compositions. The top one took a minute for me to figure but that is half the fun. The second one has wonderful details in the wind etched patterns in the snow.
