Lone Rider

This bicycle has been parked here for a number of days along this trail. Later, we found it in the pond below. Not sure what the real story is, but is appears to not be wanted.

It appears to be in pretty good shape, doesn't it?

There's something downright melancholy about this, isn't there?

Nice B&W! How sad for the bike not to be wanted! It looks in fairly decent shape - but if you found it later in the pond I would assume it was no longer in decent shape :(

What a shame, there's probably someone who would really appreciate someone else's unwanted bike.

Thanks for your comment on Glasgow DP. The flickr group I mentioned is called "meet you at the horse"!

Strange....,
Bike's are everywhere but here in Amsterdam they steal bikes like raindrops.( I lost all my bikes by thiefs, while studying in Amsterdam...) in other words 'you find them everywhere' like this bike on the photo?

Look at the seat. If I was too dumb to use a wrench, I'd abandon it too. Also, with brakes at that angle, the previous owner could have been hospitalized when you took that picture.
