Sunglow

Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis on Marquette Ave.
MB spotted the sun spots on this church on our downtown photo walkabout. Both of us were captivated on the reflected sunlight on this church. The sun was actually behind this church. The sunspots seen here are reflected off from the glass buildings.

"In 1999 Westminster was entered on the National Register of Historic Places. This registry is the official list of historic properties recognized by the Federal Government as worthy of preservation for their significance in American history, architecture, archaeology, engineering and culture."

  6. I like that it is so focused on a small section of the church that what the building is with out the description is somewhat of a mystery. Great use of light and dark, it's really intense.

  7. Your composition here is so perfect, this should be taught in photography class! I wondered when I saw the image if that sunlight was reflected. Why is it that the reflected sun looks different somehow?

ALl that texture and those curves.... ah, what a beautiful photograph!
