A male house finch feeding it's young. I captured this one while sitting on our deck one afternoon. The birds returned to the feeding station after a summer rain. I had never seen a male feed it's young seeds in this way. The youngster must really enjoy the seed I put in the feeder.

The shutter speed was 1/15 aperture f3.5 on my olld Canon Powershot S2 IS.
Outstanding shot ! I know how hard it is to make a good shot with birds ;)
ReplyDeleteAmazing image Rob. Well captured.
ReplyDeleteWhat was your shutter speed to have the youngster whole body in motion while it's legs look sharp.
A Fabulous Capture!
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful shot, I just love those little wings in motion...baby bird seems bigger than dad or is it just the puffed out feathers?
