Sweet Delights

Chocolate, perfect to start the new year!

2008 is over,; the year went out with a bang. As Mrs. DL and I were dining on our traditional New Year's Eve dinner fondue of steak, shrimp, and scallops, our electric service quit. Our entire neighborhood went dark for 45 minutes. We continued by enjoying a bottle of wine in candlelight. Afterward, our internet service was down until late in Years Day. What a way to end 2008. I just hope this isn't a sign of things to come for 2009.

  4. I think that Babzy's comment makes a lot of sense. We don't want another year like 2008, under any circumstances! Cheers for 2009!!

Re. your comment on my blog. I discovered that the zoo does not allow tripods after I got there, but you can use it if you don't extend the legs. They're concerned about liability with people tripping over it, etc. Makes sense, esp. with the crowd that was there yesteday.

  5. A nice bottle of red and a log fire. That's the way to go.

  6. DL, You're supposed to be delighted the lights went out on New Year's Eve. We need to work on the "romantic devil" aspects here.

  12. Oh, DL, it'll get better! '~) What could be more romantic than wine and a cozy winter cuddle? (The heat didn't go out did it? Brrrr!) I hope your cheese reheated nicely and that tomorrow will be a better day.
I went to Walgreens today and had a billion 4 x 6's made of the sunset you liked so much. I'm giving them out in lieu of the Christmas cards I never got around to sending out. If you would like a copy to cheer yourself up email me and I'll send you a copy via snail mail. Happy New Year!
