iphone

An old relic seen nearly everywhere but no longer used, the pay phone. I wonder what will replace the cell phone.

Nice shot! I think pay phones will make a "comeback" some day.

We could make quite a list of things disappearing. This definitely one of them! Phone booths to phone "stalls" to nothing at all. It is shaped like an "i", isn't it!

The panning worked beautifully concerning the Egret...

Hard to tell what is going to replace cell phones, if anything. Remember cell phones were pure sci. fi. 30 years ago. But maybe an implant? It just seem so hard to turn of:-)
Great image btw.

Over here they have removed about a third of the pay phones due to mobile phones being so common place.

I hope that the British red call boxes will remain for ever, with functioning phones or not! :-)

Yes, these have become a relic. I am on the look out for the old fashioned indoor phone booth. The old wooden kind where you could go in a sit down.

When I was in London there are a few classic call boxes around but they are really more decorations rather than functioning phone booths.
