Roma, Italia

Last Friday, Mrs. DL and I went to see the movie Angels & Demons. We both agreed it was an excellent movie, typical for the works of Ron Howard; I shall rate it 4.5 out of 5 stars. There are a few graphic scenes, but overall, not over the top. Best of all, the viewer gets a quick tour of Rome. We enjoyed reliving our past trip to Rome by viewing this film and hope to return to that wonderful city. So in honor of this movie, I give you Rome for Travel Tuesday. (Please excuse the low quality of these photos. I took these in 2006, before I knew how to photograph).

St. Peter's Basilica

Castel San Angelo

  1. I like both a lot,the first by the charpness and the sky so blue, the second by the light they have captured. Congratulations

  2. I think that shot of Castel San Angelo is terrific. As for the movie, did you see Da Vinci Code? If so, how would you compare the two?

  6. Yeah, right, like before you knew how to photograph...you've known all along, DL; you are an artiste!

These are great. I was in Rome, too, 1957! Was in the Navy. Great place. You could buy a chicken dinner for a few packs of Lucky Strikes. I think things have changed...

  7. Hey DL,
You've got to be kidding me, those are beautiful shots. Thanks for sharing them.
You know, I'd written A&D off, but you pointed out what should have been the obvious for me -- a great chance to see Rome.
    Many thanks...
