Seize the Carp

Carp swimming in the shallows. Often I have enjoyed fishing from shore with nary a bite. But leave the fishing gear at home and fish are plentiful. Even if they are just carp.

Did you use a polarizing filter to get this clarity? Nicely done!

It doesn't seem like you'll need fishing gear for these ones, just a quick hand. Good capture.

Isn't that always the way, though? Same thing with cameras!

My brother in law lives on a lake and high up and you can sit on his back patio and see carp swimming back and forth ever so slowly. They must be 6 feet long and look like sharks. This one has a lot of detail in it. The water must have been shallow. I will be there at his house this weekend and I hope to be able to take some photos.

You're using a polarizer, right?

Have you ever caught a dogfish? I did once as a kid...yikes!

Carp you can have.

Great photo!
