Wow, the Seine runs through Minnesota!

Two great photos. The clouds really make the first one, and the lights the second.

Dramatic lighting on the first one. Really makes the building stand out against the dark background.

I never saw the Invalides coloured like this! A fabulous shot! ... and the river photo is not bad either! :-)

Hello Rob,
I love your blog and have updated SparkleMirror to show “Dusty Lens...” in the “Sparkling Gems of Delight” section on the sidebar (favorite blogs). Each time you post, yours will appear beautifully at the top of that list. Thanks for providing such interesting content for my friends and me…

That's the most dramatic photo of Les Invalides I've ever seen. Storms rolling in? That sunny on one side - dark on the other is one of my favorite outdoor lighting situations.

You are so good at night shots. Fantastic!

That first photo is absolutely fantastic! Especially with the looming dark sky above. Just stunning.

Excellent, when were you in France? And for how long?

You've really captured two beautiful shots. I am always trying to capture ones like the top shot, with dark clouds in the background, but a firm clearing for sun to drench my subject. But of course, I'm a real contrast enthusiast.

Paris at night! The City of Lights! You show it off well. You might be interested in Paree, a blog on which I'm reliving our journey to Paris a couple of years ago...
