Shore Fishing

Every day there are people lined up on the banks of the Mississippi River spending a pleasant day of fishing. The equipment is varied, minnow buckets, worm canisters, coolers, and a Tidy Cat litter container. this square box makes for an excellent way to take home their catch. This couple caught my eye as they were dressed fashionably rather than the typical shorts and t-shirts.

Great photo! The water looks like it's a great spot to fish. I don't think I'd eat anything I'd catch in the Mississippi...at least not here.

It looks like a very relaxing way to use up some time. And yes, they don't seem too much troubled by the fisherman's latest fashion:-)

Minnesotans are quite fashionable! Well, sometimes. Cute shot! I wonder if they catch anything? If so, what? Catfish?

Why is it that a vegetarian like me is always drawn to fishing image. The solitude and calm I think.

cieldequimper, there are many species of fish in the Mississippi River here, carp, Catfish, Bass, oike, and others. Most people are catching bass and carp right now.

what a coincidence... I have that same container and it keeps my potter's plaster safe and dry. Great shot... Dave
