Happy to see this old scooter on the road. We are seeing more scooters on the road; many shiny new models. However, I prefer the old classics like this one.

That's cool. I remember scooters were really popular in the early 80's in So.Cal I just noticed the Minor Threat sticker I saw that band in the early 80's. This is a classic.
ReplyDeleteretour dans les années 60, cela me fait penser au vieux cinema italien et j'aime bien le petit clin d'oeil au grand Bukowski
ReplyDeleteI have seen a couple of brand new Vespas here at home in the last couple of months. Look they might be coming back.
ReplyDeleteOne should always ask what Bukowski would do in any given situation!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have one. The traffic is too bad for a safe, enjoyable ride.
ReplyDeleteWell the Barber Museum had some fine Vespas but there's had been restored to shiny newness. This bad boy has been laid down a few times. Makes you wonder what kind of shape the owner is in at this point. I think I see a little "rusty crap"there too DL. Guess that's why you love it so!!!

ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I'd take this one, beat up and ratty red and all!
ReplyDeleteThere was a time I used to love scooters. This one looks old but nice! A cool combination of red paint and red rust! :-)
