I swam in Lake Superior once - over at Ontonogon (sp?) Michigan. It was icy even in the summer. I don't see anyone in the water here...is there a swim beach nearby and if so, do people get in?

I have to say I'm really starting to like Duluth. There are so many interesting things to shoot. Last Sunday up there I filled up my 4 gig mem card (admittedly with bracketing and a gazillion shots of the seagulls)!
Considering you had the ISO on a IOO that's a brilliant shot. It's so full of light and vibrance. Real postcard image.
I like lighthouses so much, they make such nice subjects! and the people around add coupur to the picture!
