Iced Lava

Dam ice is getting thicker on the dam at Coon Rapids Dam. This is just below the spillway.

Looks like it will be a while before Spring!

This is unreal!
I've never seen anything like it in my life.
Funny how the commonplace for one, is like another planet for another!

What a wonderful picture for horrible weather!

This is a very cool shot. I'm glad to see it in a photo rather than in person though. ;-)

That is so pretty! (and now I understand why our area of the river rises so much in the Spring!).

Ice Lava?
Good grief, I've never seen this! I spend all my time on lakes and smooth-running rivers. I'll have to check this out! Is it till doing this? Is this a 31 degree slush effect?

What a wonderful photo. I've seen frozen lakes, but never something quite like that. Amazing, really.

BTW, Dusty, I've been meaning to ask you... Would it be possible for you to link directly to a larger size? That would save your visitors from having to click through two or three pages to enlarge and the another two or three pages to come back and leave a comment. It'd be greatly appreciated. :)
