This little girl traded in her flip flops for a pair of fireman's boots.

When I was growing up little girls didn't do such things. I was going to say "didn't want to do such things" but since I did I can't say that's true. We thought about them and sadly, moved on to more traditional ambitions. Glad to see things have changed!

Big shoes to fill.
I had a mild panic attack for a minute...thought Pink Martini had scrammed! Whew, they're back.

les enfants rêvent tous de devenir un jour sapeur pompier...la vocation commence parfois tôt grâce à ce type de journée
all children dream of becoming a fireman firefighter day ... vocation sometimes starts early with this type of day

Now this photo put a smile on "Louis's" face!

The power of children's imagination is a big part of their charm to adults. Why do we as adults forget that we have that power of imagination?

Another shot worthy of the two things challenge: Young/Hero.

Or perhaps just a hero in the making?

I remember every summer visiting a nearby fire station with my daughters. The lobby included a museum, and every year, they had a scavenger hunt for the kids to complete as they looked through the exhibits.

I love the new music on your blog!

A memory to treasure. How cute is this image. There is a famous Pulitzer prize winning image of the Policman bedning down to the little girl. That's what this reminds me of if you cropped th sides away. A treaured memory for her.
